Annnnd..I made it! Quiet around here today.........
vms - Sun Feb 07, 2016 10:48 pm
I'm sure you're getting ready to watch the Supreme Bowl.
E-lad - Sun Feb 07, 2016 11:29 pm
Yea, but not with the interest that I would if the Steelers were in it. Championship sports- the best of the best of players/ teams is always interesting to me. I'd like to see Peyton Manning win one against the young upstart, CamNewton.

Manny is the oldest QB to play in a Super Bowl. These days I empathize with old timers doing things, let alone quarterbacking the Super Bowl.

I hear the halftime show promoted homosexuality.
rufustfirefly - Mon Feb 08, 2016 4:58 am
nah, but it did promote shitty music
vms - Mon Feb 08, 2016 10:35 am
I don't know. This looks kinda gay to me. And this was held in the San Francisco area.
E-lad - Mon Feb 08, 2016 12:01 pm
Super Bowl 50 was a grim, joyless, maddeningly ugly football game. I rarely watch the halftime show or any of the commercials. Don't even know who was in it.

Cats are shady bastards.
shadowmouse - Tue Feb 09, 2016 1:37 am
my himalayan camped out in the neighbors' yard for a month last summer - he would sit at the edge of their yard and watch the cars circling the drive-thru coffee shack and the foot traffic to the order window
shadowmouse - Tue Feb 09, 2016 1:40 am
had to live-trap the little bastard before he got smooshed on the highway
E-lad - Tue Feb 09, 2016 11:31 am
I am pleased that we have our very own official cat lady on smrt. sm is also our official veterinarian and general medical advisor.
E-lad - Tue Feb 09, 2016 11:34 am
shadowmouse, I forgot to thank you for something. Last summer when I got stung by that giant wasp I was in some serious, yet survivable pain for about 10 hours and you advised to use "warm, moist, heat. So I held my hand under pretty hot running water from the tap and the pain would allbut dissapear for over an hour then I'd repeat the therapy. Did that for tweo days- very helpful advice. Thanks!
shadowmouse - Tue Feb 09, 2016 5:23 pm
twern't nothin'
E-lad - Tue Feb 09, 2016 11:36 pm
I couldn't believe how much that relieved the pain. I was thinking, "Yeah, sure, some warm water is going to take away this burning pain in my hand!" But it did, even though I had maxed out on ibuprofen and beer.
E-lad - Tue Feb 09, 2016 11:37 pm
I declared it a miracle to Mrs Froggie.
E-lad - Tue Feb 09, 2016 11:39 pm
And of course she came back at me with, "You never allow me any miracles, why should I allow you one?"
E-lad - Tue Feb 09, 2016 11:40 pm
So I had to tell her this was a valid medical therapy recommended by a cat lady out in Oregon That's when I got "the look." It's all good..
