A Couple of Blathering Idiots

Postby lehman scott » Sat Oct 15, 2011 4:24 pm

If you possess a constitution which enables you to read a conversation between two idiotic YECs without wanting to throw your computer out the nearest window, then by all means indulge in this transcript of the latest episode of Creation Today with Eric Hovind and Paul Taylor. If you dare, prepare to learn that Alien Abductions are done by demons from Hell and that dinosaurs might not really have gone extinct. Here's an excerpt:

Paul Taylor: Gary catalogs the fact that no evangelical, or born-again Christian has ever been involved in the abductions, so this is a common theme. But there are some people who have been on the periphery of the church who’ve know something of these, not really saved but on the periphery. And in some cases the abductions have started to take place on these people cause they’ve been messing around with these ideas, and they’ve called out on the name of Jesus and everything has stopped.

Eric Hovind: Whoa.

Paul Taylor: The abduction has ceased, and it really does indicate that these particular small number of cases are of demonic activities

Eric Hovind: Yeah

........

Paul Taylor: Yeah, exactly, it’s fascinating. I’m really not prepared to say that dinosaurs actually are extinct. As I said I’ll go so far as to say I think they probably are, cause I haven’t seen any, but they have gone extinct, it’s only fairly recently. You know, you can certainly find historic accounts of people having seen what they might refer to as dragons. Even as recently as two hundred years ago, there’s an account of a civil war battle, sorry I should make clear, English Civil War [Laughter], not the American Civil War, the English Civil War battle, the battle of [indiscernible 00:06:21] which although is in the English Civil war actually took place in Wales. And after the battle in which there were a lot of people dead on the battlefield, there are some eye witnesses who wrote about it at the time, who reckon that this large huge bird without feathers, this dragon type thing, swooped over the battlefield and was sort of it was obviously [indiscernible 00:06:42] eating thing it was having [indiscernible 00:06:44] of dead bodies, a rather gruesome story but the description sounds very alike a Pterodactyl type

Eric Hovind: You know it’s very interesting, I met a woman after hearing, after hearing reports of a Pterodactyl type animal in Kenya of Africa. I met a woman in the airport, and she’s from Kenya, and I said “Hey, I just got a question. I have heard reports of big bat-like creatures, Pterodactyls. Have you heard of those?” She’s like oh yeah, they’re over there. And she talked about it as if it was normal everyday stuff. It wasn’t a crazy thing. I believe they call it Kongamato. And here’s what’s interesting, the people over there say Kongamato‘s favorite thing to eat is dead rotting human flesh.

Paul Taylor: Yes

Eric Hovind: And if you bury somebody, you have to bury them very deep in the ground, cause otherwise Kongamato will come dig them up and eat them.

Paul Taylor: It makes sense.

That is the money quote. Now we know what interests Eric Hovind.

Lucky the Kongamato didn't have arms to roll away Jesus stone, otherwise there might have been no resurrection! Praise God!

Eric loves to keep these rumors alove so he can use his minion's moey to go on those faux "scientific expeditions."

What was the other animal he talked about, I believe supposedly existing in the Congo river shead?

They say you learn something new everyday, it's true. Today, after reading this, I learned some people believe pterodactyls still exist, not sure what I can do with this knowledge, but still, it's something I guess.
With a name like Smucker's, it has to be god.

It's sort of like the knowledge that some people like getting peed on. A bit disgusting, but a fascinating insight into human perversity.

Probably the Mokele-Mbembe. He and his dad have been obsessed with it for years. I love it, though. 100s of universities and 1000s of scientists that study this stuff and all that can be dismissed, but a rumor heard 3rd hand from some stranger in an airport and that's good as gospel. They have the nerve to criticize others for "presuppositions", and they believe anything that supports their beliefs.

Yep. Ezekiel on acid saw wheels within wheels- he must have been at an airport.

The battle of St. Fagans and whether there was a pterodactyl there (I don't wish to spoil it for you, but there wasn't):
