Fuck This

A place for members to help other members with questions about how to navigate the forums, how to post, ect. Fell free to make suggestions here as well.

Yes, we can all read the FAQ, but sometimes the question either isn't covered or it just makes more sense coming from a fellow member.

You channeling me, Rufus?

I also channel "Zormac" a 40,000 year old holy man of the Neander valley. He says he was fully human, like me, so Charles Darwin was a racist Jew killing Nazi baby eater. Like me.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor all their own.

Firefly family reunions must be a lot of fun...

Doesn't firefox refill your text entry if you push the back button?

No. And has been duly reported in the past, I am a stupid idiot because I'm still running IE.

Yeah, I've had that happen too as a result of using Satan's Browser Internet Explorer. It's particulary annoying because it only happens when I've spent quite some time typing. Which in turn means that what I was typing was important enough to spend quite some time on.

I've got no choise, as I'm posting from work, but if you can switch to a different browser... do it. Do it nao. One short download and in my experience they all put the same buttons in the same places anyway, so you'll hardly notice the difference. It's the easiest way to deal with the problem.

Seconded. I also used IE for years. I tried Opera but after a few months it got very slow and I couldn't figure out why. FIrefox was easy to download and start up.

Yes. Firefox is Jesus.

And Iron is Martin Luther. Iron is Chrome without Google's spyware. Unfortunately, only available in German so far, and only for Windows, but has all the same buttons and whistles Chrome has in the same places. I find Firefox more flexible and better suited to my purposes, but Iron is undeniably faster. Get both- they're free.
