Have to remember where I put that list...

A place to talk about specific theists and our interactions with 'em. Should we engage or dismiss? Are there effective strategies?

Well, I signed the petition to get that little girl justice as soon as my stomach had settled due to the disgust of whole situation.

What I don't get and a Catholic man who I contacted in the past agrees with me, is how can someone in a state of grace or cleansed with the blood of the Lord or whatever do something so foul and filthy and be supported by anyone.

I was challenged as a free-thinking woman of the left by a right-wing Christian group on-line to condemn Lena Dunham, Prof Dawkins' support of his old pervert teacher, the vile group known as Virtuous Paedophiles, and I did without equivocation and hesitation. Why can't they do the same when one of their heroes performs such a vile action? Why can't they say, as I said, wrong is wrong, assaulting children is wrong, it doesn't matter who the person is, their politics, their beliefs, anything.
It makes me poorly.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? (Epicurus circa:300 BC)

From Ryk's link: "He can also have his convictions erased with time". Isn't that the whole point of Christianity anyway?

I'm willing to bet that child abuse by priests would not disappear, but would be greatly reduced, if they were allowed to marry- and if women were allowed to be priests. I'm not holding my breath on this happening anytime soon, though.

Trump has some pretty sleazy supporters. I wonder if he'll tweet on this.

Was wondering when you were going to find ol' Ralphy boy. He signed into the hotel using his real name...
