I've been watching cable news the last couple days as much as trump does, it's fascinating. I gotta say though, these people who come on to be Trump's supporters, like Jeffrey Lord, or Jack Kingston, Jason Miller, etc., I really can't believe what I'm watching when I see them. They keep trying to throw out this whole thing where "Oh but it was the democrats who wanted him out, and now they're upset? Such hypocrites!" I can't believe they think this is at all rational. I mean, to me it's obvious it's not that Comey the man was fired, and it's a shame he's gone, but it's the fact that trump fired him while investigating him. It really couldn't be more clear. Good lord, if Hillary had fired him and there was still an investigation going on with her do we think Jack Kingston would say no story here? What if Obama fired him in October? Impeached by November 1st. I just don't understand how these people can be such an obvious stooge here. Even his supporters should at least say this is a politically strange move to make at best. What the hell kind of reaction did they expect? Trump really wants us to believe he was fired because of his treatment of Hillary during the campaign? Come on, get the fuck outta here with that shit. I guess when that's the option talking point provided by the whitehouse maybe you're better off throwing the hypocrisy card, even though that's clearly not the issue here...at all. If he really is innocent of everything in the russia investigation, which is definitely possible, the guy is clearly guilty of not being able to get out of his own way. He just shows such poor judgement, and pettiness, on a level I've never seen from anyone, let alone the president.

I just talked with my son about this strange acceptance by Trump's supporters of anything he does, and my son opined that even if Trump ate a baby live on TV, his supporters would manage to blame it on Obama or Hillary.

They would say something like "oh, like you'd blame Obama if he ate a baby on TV."

If Obama wants to eat a couple of babies, that's fine with me. And word has it, that Hillary has eaten more than a few babies. After selling porn flicks of them. It's all good.

What? Trump has done a wonderful job of uniting us all. We are much greater again than we ever were.

The silver lining, or shimmer of hope I see here, is the Republicans losing big time. But they are slippery devils.

They should take a page out of the Australian Liberal Party's playbook. They always have two responses:
1) It's someone else's fault.
2) How were we to know this would happen?
