Be angry, be very angry

Societal values are pushed / squashed by political activity. Is the influence of religion increasing? Is skepticism being deemphasized? Help us understand it all...

Be angry, be very angry

I could hardly credit this when I first read it. Have a gander:

I've already said fundies should not be allowed to impose their religion on others. I'll add that they shouldn't be allowed to become doctors. Or at least they should be defrocked for stuff like this.

"Additionally, apparently realizing that plaintiff's doctor had an accent, Dr. Borga exclaimed, 'What, do you need a translator?'

I think this situation has more to do with this doctor being a class A jerk than being some obnoxious Xian. Either way, I think this Borga person is in the wrong profession.

No. According to the Courthouse News Service site

Borga allegedly responded: "You must be gay, too, if you're his doctor."
"Additionally, apparently realizing that plaintiff's doctor had an accent, Dr. Borga exclaimed, 'What, do you need a translator?' to which plaintiff's doctor had again responded that Dr. Borga needed to give plaintiff his HIV medication," the complaint states.
"Dr. Borga responded to plaintiff's doctor by stating, 'This is what he gets for going against God's will,' and hung up the phone on plaintiff's doctor."

Only if one pays attention to the first statement there could one say that the person was just being a "jerk", but the second statement brings it home: It is religiously-motivated.
