Bizarre excursions

Science, industry, and wealth have allowed many of us humans to pursue excursions into bizarre, but logically possible and physically realizable, realms.

One of these is the world of unicycles. A couple of decades ago, I was pretty proud of myself for having juggled while riding a unicycle (for about five seconds, before I dropped the balls and fell). But that's something most people could learn, if they had a couple of weeks with nothing better to do. But some people obviously have more time and talent- I did some googling on the current unicycle scene, and came up with some amazing stuff.

This is a clip of the so-called "ultimate wheel"- a unicycle without a seat, that is, just a wheel with pedals attached. For anyone who's tried a unicycle (not all that easy), not having a seat to prevent the wheel from simply flopping around obviously introduces a whole additional set of control problems.
