And a comment to Glenn.
"1. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”"

But the wise man proclaims it for all to hear.

2. See above.

3) And we use the best method to seek knowledge, the scientific method. We ask for evidence, and you give us unsupported claims. I prefer wisdom to "faith". Faith is never a pathway to knowledge, but a short circuit of the mind that causes confusion and confusion is the enemy to purposeful though.

What you proclaim as "good" is actually distractive to your thought processes. Such a shame.

Shocker. What a bloody fucking shocker he didn't answer the question.

I'll give him until next Tuesday. If he answers another question or just outright ignores it, then I'll call him on his shit. In the meantime, sometimes people just get busy, Christian or not.

Interesting point about that verse, if you read it carefully, you'll note that it doesn't actually call atheists fools: it calls fools atheists.

"The fool hath said in his heart, there is no god."

This is a pretty important distinction. It's reads to me like the author is saying "those who are foolish do not believe in God, for if they believed they would not be fools", rather than the Living Waters interpretation of "atheists == dipshits".

I'll need to check out a few other translations of that verse. I wonder if the original Hebrew had that ambiguity in it?

(EDIT) Whoops! I accidentally copied the above to Steves blog and forgot to remove the term 'dipshits'. Heheheh, why do I find that hilarious?

According to the NIV, Psalm 14:1 The Hebrew words rendered fool in Psalms denote one who is morally deficient.

If I was in a elevator with someone like Sanchez, I'd end up hurting someone.

Good point Qu.

According to "The Interpreter's One Volume Commentary" Psalm 14: 1 says:
The portrait of the wicked is sharply drawn. The Hebrew word for fool refers not to simpleminded people, but to coarse, brutal, self-interested rogues. They deny God not by intellectual arguments, but by a corrupt life.

If that's the case then it could be argued that this verse refers more to Ray than it does to you guys.

Fascinating.

Steve allowed the post that showed DPRJones demolishing the idea of God being good, then deletes it without explanation.

Jim, can we all hang out in the sweet Man Cave that DAAAAAAAAAAAWG is going on about?

Interesting. I think Steve is deleting my approved posts from the last week.

They are suddenly gone.

Anyone else see them?
