At home I've been using Satan's Browser (damn it, why does that keep happening? I'm sure I didn't type that) Internet Explorer for watching some video's (TV shows mostly), because of one bug feature odd trait it has: namely, it stores the video as an FLV file in the temporary internet files directory. I can then go to Tools>>Internet Options>>Settings (under Browsing History)>>View Files and happily put the temporary file on my hard-drive and play it later.
This is useful because it allows me to show other people the episode without having to re-download it, and with my ISP that's a good thing (By my calculations, the ratio of download rate to playrate of a standard YouTube video ranges between 1 to 2 and 1 to a Million Gazzilion depending on time of day, phase of the moon, position of Jupiter in relation to Pluto...)
Anyone got any idea if this is possible with browsers other than Satans Browser (goddamn it!) Internet Explorer?
