Noah Has Arrived

I'll reproduce this delightful post in its entirety so you don't have to click over there...

New Noah Video in Production

AiG’s production designers and video team have been working on a set where they will film a short video that will be used to promote the Ark Encounter project.

Here is a photo of the set as it is being constructed.

And here are two photos of the actor playing Noah getting prepped for the video.

Ben Wilt, who is heading up the video shoot, wrote to me saying, “Thought you might be interested in seeing our hair and make-up test. This was a test that Doug Henderson did on our actor who will be playing Noah in the upcoming video I’m shooting for the Ark team. The test went great, and I think our Noah character is looking very cool! I’m very excited about this video as I think it’ll really help in the fundraising effort.”

For updates on the building of a full-size Noah’s Ark south of Cincinnati, Ohio, and to watch our current Ark Encounter video, go to ArkEncounter.com.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken

EDIT: btw, AiG has a new video up at http://arkencounter.com/ At least it was new to me. I'd not seen it before, myself. It is... entertaining...

I wonder if Ken & Co have seen the full-size Ark in, where else, Hong Kong?

Oh, and at Ken's Ark site, I found this strange bit of apologia:

Imagine walking through a full-size Ark where:

1. People are given an understanding of the massive size of the Ark; and are also shown how Noah could have built the Ark using various construction techniques and special technology. Illustrations would be given that would demonstrate how Noah could have cared for the animals. And Ark visitors would experience what life was like in Noah’s day.
Carefully researched information will be given concerning the geological aspects of the Flood and their connection to the major portion of the fossil record—as well as the Ice Age that followed. Answers would be given as to how Noah could fit all the representative land animal kinds on board, for here was plenty of room.
Such fascinating information would be used to challenge people’s thinking about why Noah built an Ark larger than he really needed for the kinds of land animal. Visitors will gain an understanding of God’s grace and mercy—that it is “not His will that any should perish.”’ There was plenty of extra room on the Ark for many other people should they have entered the doorway to be saved.

This sent me back to Genesis 6-9 to check out that I hadn't forgotten anything. Nope- there's no hint whatsoever that God intended for anyone other than Noah's family to survive the Flood. This reminds me of William Craig's attempt to make the slaughter of the Amalekite babies more palatable by claiming that they went straight to Heaven: there's no Scriptural justification for either assumption whatsoever; they are just a sop for bleeding heart liberals who insist that God is unfair to kill the innocent. Sorry, Ken and Bill, your God am what am, and that's just not good enough any more.
You were born. And so you're free. So happy birthday.

Those who are brain-damaged enough to believe anything that Ken Ham says are not the types who would do any fact-checking at all. WLC is not one that I would describe as a complete idiot -- he's not, he's just a complete asshole.
