Let's make a change

Postby Milo » Sat Oct 15, 2011 7:09 pm

Much as we hate to abandon the course, I think it is time to change direction. I would suggest delving into the New Testament and saving the rest of the Old Testament for latter. I would like to take on at least one book- I could get it out in short order instead of dragging it out over months. Either start with Mark or Paul's letters. It couldn't hurt, right?

I have no problem switching to a different book. You said Mark, is there a particular reason for suggesting that rather than the other gospels?

After this foray into the New Testament, can we do the book of Job next?

Mark first because it is thought to be the first gospel. Job would be fine. Anything is better than nothing.

Good suggestion Milo.
To avoid deception, Christianity instructs people to study the Bible and believe what God says. Religion requires belief in what man says God says. When people without discernment, submit to men who are naturally prone to error, they are easily deceived

Why don't you go ahead and try CPR beginning in Mark...and if no
response or interest then you know it died....a very slow death.

I suppose a polite discussion between two adults might be nice for a change. :)

I'll think about it. Isn't silence tacit agreement?

I'm thinking you may be right about that. :)
